Myriam Pilutti Namer-Bio

Myriam Pilutti Namer (Trieste 1985) obtained her BA in Preservation of Cultural Heritage (2007) and a MA in Classical Archaeology (2009) at Ca’ Foscari University, Venice. She discussed her PhD at the Scuola Normale Superiore (2013) in History of Art and Archaeology under the supervision of Paul Zanker and Salvatore Settis. She was awarded by post-doctoral fellowships in Venice (Giorgio Cini Foundation) and Naples (Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Storici). She is currently responsible for the project “Studies on Giacomo Boni” at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, and adjunct lecturer at the Ca’ Foscari School for International Education. She has organized one international conference (Venice, 2016) and she is the author of a monograph on the Fondaco dei Turchi in Venice (2016). She is also co-editor of a volume on Giacomo Boni (Venice, 2016), founder and co-editor of the online journal focussing on 19^th c. art history  MDCCC1800 and has had over twenty papers published in international journals. Her research interests include the relationship between archaeology and restoration, ancient Roman art, the history of archaeology and Venetian art history.
